My Approach
How we think and what we believe about ourselves change the way we move through the world. Together, we're going to look at the relationships, experiences, and lessons that make you YOU. I'll ask you to tell me your stories, and we'll explore which ones are true and which ones just feel true because you've been telling them for so long.
I often meet clients for whom anxiety has become their natural state. It begins to feel productive, like when you worry, you’re getting something done. And then you notice that it gets uncomfortable if you stop. My job as your therapist is to help you explore that discomfort to see what it’s made of so that you can begin to feel safe in it. That’s the therapeutic process. No judgment, but a lot of empathy, humor, and genuineness,

I pull from several theoretical perspectives including person-centered, existentialism, attachment and emotions focused, and psychodynamic to find the appropriate interventions to meet you where you are and figure out where you want to go and who you want to be when you get there.
